Sometimes I have things that aren't really technology related at all.

SharePoint Study Group Kicked Off Today
By host on 7/18/2007

We had a great Turnout to the First Meeting of the SharePoint Study Group in Tulsa today. Many thanks to Heidi at Mesa for providing the facilites for the study group... I was a bit surprised that we filled the conference room !! It's a good thing and I look for great things to come of this study group. We have some great conversation and If I can keep on track and not try to jump too far ahead, I think we'll be ok :-)

Stay Tuned for more in regards to how many people we get Certified !!!!

SharePointing as an Application Platform
By host on 7/17/2007
I think Microsoft is making some pretty impressive technologies available right now and it is very hard for developers and Architects to decipher what they should be using and where. I know that everyone has seen the Collaboration Technology that is oncluded in SharePoint... But how about that Application Infrastructure ? The Solution / Feature Deployment Mechanism, the Site / Application Provisioning Engine, The Standard Operations Tools and Methodologies... the list goes on.. You'll be seeing more posts about this here as I am going on SharePointing and still loving it :-)

World Cup: Group Play Update
By host on 6/11/2006

Ok.. most of you know that I am a pretty big fan of the beautiful game :-) The Cup was opened with an awesome match between the host team Germany against Costa Rica. This was a great match and the germans pulled out a 4-2 win. Six goals scored in the opener ! What more can you ask for :-)

England "squeaked" a win in their first match. Beckham bounced it off an oposing player into the goal for a score (the only one in the game)

I would have to say that the best match so far has been Sweden vs Trinidad & Tobago.

Trinidad is the smallest nation to ever make it to the world cup. It's their first time to make it to the tourney as well. At the last minute they changed Goalkeepers before the game started. Shaka Hislop started (his first world cup appearance ever) at 37 years old. He's played int he EPL for Westham for those that follow the game). He played a spectacular game. Trinidad played only 1 man forward and played a specta ...

Youth Soccer On the Rise
By host on 3/6/2006
I have been involved with Youth Soccer in this area since I was a youth myself. When I was a kid playing soccer, it was not looked upon kindly from older folks. i see that this attitude has chnaged considerably now. I noticed it changing after the US women won the world cup. Tulsa, Oklahoma is not big enough to host any other sort of Major League team but I think we could support an MLS team if we could get them a stadium to play in. BUT, we have to build an Arena instead... what gives ?

By host on 3/3/2006

I have to tell you that i have watched this 10 times and I still laugh ! My great grandmother was very much like this very direct old woman !

I saw this when I was a kid on something (I think it was Saturday Night Live) ... Now after seing it again, it's still just as funny !

Asynchronous WebPart Development
By host on 3/3/2006
Foudn this Article about coding your web parts to take advantage of the Async Capabilities of SharePoint (.NET)... I know I will be employing this technique everywhere I need to call a couple of different web services and then aggregate the data...

Wow... What more do the bad guys need ?
By host on 3/3/2006
Found this as I was perusing across the web. I guess if you needed a starting point for a denial of service attack against the united states government, this would be it... Our government may have "Privatized" the internet but it's clear from this that they still are the largest real-estate owner by far :-)
