I have a question. Please excuse if it is out of place, considering this a forum exclusively for asp.net.

We are asked to develop an HR application mainly to handle the Recruiting function. We thought of developing it in ASP.Net 2.0 and also using Biztalk 2006. But then we also have a feeling, instead of developing in ASP.Net why not develop it as a SharePoint Site.

 Now the question is, 'Is it advisable to go for a SharePoint Site instead of a normal ASP.Net site' for such an HR application as this. Whats the advantage of a SharePoint Site over a normal asp.net site.

Please suggest.
